Can’t find the latest book on the shelf?  Looking for something we don’t own? Place a hold on it today and we will notify you when it arrives.

 

To place a hold:

  1. Find the book in the APL catalog. **
  2. Click the Request button Place a request for this Item?
  3. Fill in your last name and your library card number (on the back of your card)
  4. Click the Submit button
  5. Wait to hear from us! Once we have the item, you will have 5 business days to pick up your hold or cancel it to avoid the $2.00 non-pickup charge.

 

**Looking for something not in the APL catalog?  Go to the box that says “Auburn Public Library” and click the down arrow.  Then change the location to “ALL MINERVA LIBRARIES” and submit.  If the title is at another Minerva library follow steps 2-5 above. If not, click the "search MaineCat" button to search other Maine libraries.

You may have five outstanding holds at any given time. 

Please note: patrons who fail to pick up items they request from other libraries will have  a $2.00-per-item fee charged to their patron record. Going on vacation and worried your hold may come in while you are gone? Too many books coming in at once? You can freeze your hold without losing your place in line.
