Borrow!

  • Books and other materials. Research shows that being read to and visiting the library often makes children more prepared for school and life. We are happy to help our youngest customers select and borrow material! Looking for suggestions? Stop by or try these reading lists, or our monthly top picks.
  • Museum passes are available for some local museums. Reserve passes by calling the Children’s Department, ext. 3.
  • Activity Kits We have Early Literacy iPads and American Girl dolls available to borrow. We also have many themed activity kits with toys, activities and books on topics including dinosaurs, trains, family, seasons and more!

Visit!

  • Programs. Join us for storytimes and many other fun programs for kids and tweens. In addition to our regular weekly and monthly programs, we frequently have special events, so check our calendar for events thoughout the week.
  • Family Place APL is a Family Place Library offering Family Place Workshops for parents and children.  We also provide a warm and welcoming space for parents and children to play, read, visit with other families and browse our collection of parenting books.
  • Computers with links to preselected websites and an iPad with early reading apps.
