Join us Saturday mornings, 10:30- 10:50 a.m., early September through May, for a rousing lap sit program for babies through 36 months and their caregivers. We’ll gather on the story quilt with Heather to enjoy songs, nursery rhymes, and dancing, while making new friends.

Sweet Peas

Join us on Monday mornings from 10:30-10:50 a.m., September through May, for a story program designed just for 2 year olds. Join Heather on the story quilt where she will lead parents and their children in stories, songs, and finger plays.

Preschool Story Time

We invite children three to five year olds to our Wednesday morning story programs held from early September through early December and January through May. The program is offered twice, at 9:30 and again at 10:30 a. m.  Children will enjoy the best in picture books, songs, and finger plays, led by Deb, Laurie, and Heather, our enthusiastic children’s room staff. Each program lasts approximately half an hour. During story time, caregivers and younger children may wait in the Kids’ Room to select books and enjoy blocks and other toys in our quiet play area.

Saturday Stories

Join local volunteer story lady, Judy D’Amour, at 9:30 a.m., the third Saturday morning of most months, September through May. Judy leads children in interactive stories, rhymes, songs, creative dramatics, and a craft. This program is best for children from two to six years. All are welcome.

Book Buzz

This is a book club for kids in grades 4-6. Join Kara and Laurie as they discuss wonderful books in the children's room. Each month, kids will read a book and then come together to talk about it with Laurie and Kara. Copies of the book will be available in the children's room for participants. There will also be a members-only wiki so kids can comment on the book throughout the month. The wiki will also allow kids who can't make the monthly meeting to participate.

Books Are Fun

Books Are Fun is a school-aged story time for kids ages 5-9 or K-4th grade. Come listen to wonderful stories and do a fun craft with Laurie! Every third Monday from 6-6:45 pm. Check our calendar for the month's specific date.

 

 

 

 

Be sure to join us each summer for our annual Summer Reading Program. We have fun programs and small incentives for kids who join. And everyone who reads 10 books gets a free gift book!

*We experience a lull in participation around the winter holidays, so take a break from presenting these programs. To avoid disappointment, please check our monthly calendar, or telephone the library to check our current schedule of activities.
