The comic book you are about to read was created by the members of the The Nine-Hour Comic Book, a six-part workshop series that took place at APL in the fall of 2007. Co-sponsored by APL and the Auburn Middle School Afterschool Program, and led by comic book artist Mike Jordan, the workshop was designed to teach middle-school students about the skills involved in writing and illustrating a comic book. How? By working together as a team to create one of their own. We’d say the project was a resounding success. But don’t take our word for it – see for yourself! |
