Pretty Things – Haley – Staff Review
In Pretty Things a grifter sets into action her biggest scam yet, against an heiress turned social media influencer with ties to her past.
Brown delivers a thriller based on our current social media obsession. I found it fascinating to realize how easily a con artist could infiltrate someone’s life based on their constant posting of daily activities. This was a new concept to me. The book was topsy turvy with twists I never expected and truly enjoyed to the very end. Neither of the female lead characters are very likeable, but you didn’t need to be rooting for either of them to enjoy the novel. At almost 500 pages it is a longer book but for me it flew by.
