Author Maria Padian to visit for Teen Life Skills Series

In our Teen Life Skills series during the month of February, each week we will focus on Dating Violence Awareness Month — turning our attention and discussions toward Healthy Relationships.  To further bring awareness to and continue the conversation on this topic, on Thursday, February 23, we will welcome Maine author Maria Padian back to the Auburn Public Library.  She will join us to read an excerpt from her newest book, Wrecked, and lead a discussion about issues of consent in relationships.

Also joining us for this discussion will be community educators Whitney Parrish from Safe Voices and Hannah Johnson from the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services.

Copies of this book will be available for sale and there will be a signing session immediately following the discussion.

This program, which runs from 3-4 p.m., is open to teens and new adults, ages 12-21, and will take place in the Androscoggin Community Room.
