Two Weeks to go in Teen Summer Reading Program

We have just a little less than two weeks to go in this summer’s Teen Summer Reading Program, “Unmask!”  This year, there were 69 teens who signed up to participate, a 32% increase over last year’s program.  Thank you to those of you who participated!  To date, 14 teens have turned in reading logs, amounting to a total of 362 books!  We have given out 14 Chill Zone beverages at Cumberland Farms, 5 gift certificates to Top It Frozen Yogurt Bar, 4 free Italian sandwiches at Sam’s, and 2 gift cards ($10) to Books A Million.  Although the program is winding down – with the finale party on Friday, August 14th – there is still time to turn in your reading log to win prizes, and there are still plenty of prizes left!  Stop by the Reference Desk with your completed log today!

Those teens who signed up are invited to join us for the finale party on Friday, August 14th!  Dress as your favorite superhero for a chance at a door prize.  There will be pizza, and we will do the drawing for the 4 finale prizes.  You could win a free pizza party and movie for you and 9 friends here at the Library, a $50 gift card to Bull Moose Music, a $50 gift card to the Auburn Mall, or a Kindle paperwhite.  Although you do not need to be present to win, you will have one week from the time you are contacted to claim your prize.  If we do not hear from you, another name will be drawn.

If you are planning to attend the party on the 14th, please contact the Reference Desk (207-333-6640, ext. 4) to let us know.  That will help to make certain we have plenty of pizza for all!  The party takes place in the Androscoggin Community Room from 4-5 p.m.
