Teens! Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month for a new project — from duct tape art to photography, create your own video games or make your own magnetic poetry.
With the NASA Exhibit here at the Library (April 13-July 8), this program will give teens the opportunity to learn about lenses, optics, and how telescopes work. Before leaving, teens will have built their own refracting telescope similar to one Galileo Galilei used to observe the moons of Jupiter.
This program is just for teens, ages 12-18, and will be presented by Nicole Hastings, of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Bates College. Because we need to purchase supplies for the telescope, registration is required.
May 18th at 4PM.
