Teens! Great Stories
Teens! Through the receipt of a grant from the American Library Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Auburn Public Library is pleased to present the Great Stories Club. During the course of the fall, selected teens will be reading and discussing 3 books — Buck, a memoir by MK Asante; The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie; and The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. Each book is autobiographical or semi-autobiographical in nature and each character in the book uses art — whether drawing, creative writing and/or music — to overcome challenges in his or her life. Teens who would like more information or would like to be considered for this book group should contact Donna Wallace — via phone, 207-333-6640, ext. 4 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
