Foreign Film Fest (Senior College in the Community)

The Auburn Public Library has partnered with Lewiston Auburn Senior College (LASC) to present a series of uplifting films from across the continents.  Expect cinematic excellence, breathtaking scenery, and insights into human nature across cultures which are so different yet so universal.  The movies are as follows:

  • February 8        Lunana: a yak in the classroom
  • February 15      A man called Ove: En man som heter Ove
  • February 22      Tazzeka
  • March 1            The rose maker
  • March 8            Outsourced
  • March 15          Phone swap

Following each movie, there will be a short discussion, hosted by Mary Jane Beardsley and Judy Hierstein.  Mary Jane and Judy have always liked to travel, but when you can’t get there in person, visiting through film is the next best thing!

This program will take place in person, in the Androscoggin Community Room.  For our planning purposes, registration is requested and can be done via the LASC registration page .

This program is made possible by a partnership with Senior College at USM Lewiston-Auburn College.  Lewiston-Auburn Senior College has a long-standing relationship with community partners.  In addition to this program, Senior College offers in person, Zoom, and hybrid enrichment classes.  For more information about Senior College, visit
