October 12, Virtual Program: Graveyard Pudding Cup Join Miss Corinna as she shows you how to easily make graveyard-themed pudding cups. This is a perfect spooky snack to make with your friends and family at home. This program will be on our Facebook page – Auburn Public Library Advocates. Interested in more recipes to try? The children’s department has lots of great cookbooks published for kids. We hope you’ll stop by and check them out.

October 19: Building a Tall Tower How high do you think you could build? Our next Try-it Tuesday session with Ms. Bethany is a fun and interactive STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) activity. We will be learning about building and reading some fiction and non-fiction books about buildings and towers. After that, you can participate in a hands-on tower building activity. This session is geared towards children in grades 3 – 6 but younger elementary students are also welcome to participate. Limited spaces are available so please register online here.

October 26: Candy Corn Catapults Our next Try-it Tuesday session is a fun and interactive Halloween STEM activity which will feature flying objects! We will be reading Halloween books and learning about catapults. After that, children can participate in a hands-on catapult building activity. See how well you can build a catapult to try to get candy corn (and maybe other objects) onto a target. This session is geared towards children in grades 2 – 6 but younger elementary students are also welcome to participate. Limited spaces are available so please register online here.
