Summary: The Auburn Public Library is seeking an energetic, team-oriented Teen & Collaboration Librarian with a strong commitment to public service.
Qualifications:
- Preference will go to candidates who possess a high level of experience with teens, computer literacy, reference and information discovery skills, time management, and multitasking ability.
Job Responsibilities:
- This position develops, plans, implements, and promotes programs (including events, displays, on-line content, and other aspects) for a diverse audience of young adults, ages 12-18 and oversees the Teen Space.
- Engagement and outreach activities to youth-serving organizations, and assisting in the development of high-quality readers’ advisory services, both at the Library and in the community.
- In cooperation with the Adults Services Manager, this individual is also responsible for building collaborative relationships and engaging adults and teens alike with a positive and enthusiastic approach. The successful candidate possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patrons, employees and outside contacts and is consistently pleasant, positive, and responsive to a diverse public and staff.

Status:
- Full Time (40 hours/week)
- Weekends and evenings included
