Read Around Maine Winter Reading Challenge

This challenge takes places from January 14 – March 18.

For this challenge, you need to read a book based off of the keywords for each region. You will be reading books based off of 2 keywords, for a total of 10 books. Please write down the keywords you’re using and the books you read.

They Keywords:

Southern Coast (dark blue): Beach, Portland, Lighthouse, City (or urban area), 1600s, Fire, elephants, lobsters

Downeast (teal): Islands, Tourist, Wabanaki Nation/Native American, Puffins, potatoes, blueberries, rocks

Central Interior (Red): Factories, Logging, French Canadian, Lewiston/Auburn, water power/rivers

Western Mountains (Pink): Hiking, Winter, lakes, Norway

Northwoods (green): Moose, Small Town, Wilderness, Bangor, Bees, King/horror, potatoes, Canada, snow
