Wintersmith by Terry Pratchett (The Tiffany Aching Adventures, book 3)
A book review by Faith Thompson
Tiffany thought her problems were over when she rescued her little brother Wentworth from the Fairy Queen. Now she’s thirteen and living away from home in order to train to become a real witch when she grows up. But then she makes a horrible mistake – in a crucial dance for the changing of the seasons.
Now the Wintersmith, Lord of Winter, thinks that she is the Summer Lady and is in love with her. People are dying when they crash into icebergs shaped like her on the ocean, and the world is covered in snowflakes shaped like Tiffany.
With the help of her friend Roland, some eccentric witches, and the Wee Free Men, Tiffany will have to try to fulfill her new role as the Summer Lady and make it to spring – and stay away from the Wintersmith. Because now he wants to marry her. And he is still not quite a man.
