The Auburn Public Library Children’s Room is thrilled to partner with the Stanton Bird Club for a four-session Bug Series celebrating the fascinating world of insects and spiders. Led by Stanton Bird Club Board President Jeri Maurer and Board Member and Master Naturalist Paula Curtis Everett, these nature-themed art programs invite children to discover the wonders of the natural world while experimenting with a variety of artistic styles, including watercolor, crayons, pen, and colored pencil.

Designed for children ages 6–10, each session combines science, creativity, and hands-on learning in a fun and engaging environment. All art supplies will be generously provided by the Stanton Bird Club for registered youth and families.

For this session, we’ll share the beautifully illustrated A Butterfly Is Patient by Dianna Aston and Sylvia Long as our storytime feature, setting the stage for a colorful exploration of butterflies and other amazing bugs.
