Get ready to Color Our World with APL’s 2025 Summer Reading Kickoff — an unforgettable celebration of stories, creativity, and community!   This year, we’re mixing the magic of books with the boldness of art for a summer packed with imagination, color, and FUN. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, there’s a reading challenge just for you — grab one at the kickoff event or stop by anytime this summer. Complete a challenge and win awesome prizes.  

  At our kickoff celebration, enjoy:

  • A book cover redesign contest for teens and adults
  • The launch of our community-wide weaving project
  • A fun photo booth to capture your colorful memories
