Providing Food and Habitat for Wildlife in your Backyard

Come learn about the Androscoggin Valley Soil & Water Conservation District’s new program the Conservation Landscape Certification program – this is a free program designed to help landowners improve their properties for wildlife, water quality, soil health, ecosystem support and to be more climate resilient.  In line with the program’s focus, we will be joined by Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Private Lands Wildlife Biologist, Joseph Roy.  Joe will discuss ways to improve your property for wildlife including the value of standing dead trees, woody debris, the importance of pollinators and more. 

AVSWCD Project Director, Emma Lorusso will introduce the District’s new program and touch on ways for folks to get signed up and improve their lands for all the creatures that live in our local ecosystem!
