Calling all young scientists and researchers! Auburn Public Library will host its first Homeschool Science Fair for students in grades 4 through 8.

This is the last session for children to refine their illustrations and complete their stories before the book signing event.

The Auburn Public Library is hosting on Author Talk with Dr. Chuck Radis for his latest book The Mystery in the Room: A Physician's Journey Treating Patients with Rare Diseases.

This book group calls itself The Tuesday Mystery Club, a name similar to The Thursday Murder Club.  The group selects different types of mysteries to read each month, and books range from recent publications to older ones.

Crafty Kids is a weekly crafting program led by local volunteer Mary Ann Cormier and children's department staff. This week, we will turn paper plates into cheerful-looking flowers.

APL's Local History Room will be open and available today from 9:00 a.m.

Story Time is a fun session of storytelling, singing, and crafting. This activity is best suited for children aged three to five years, and siblings are more than welcome to participate. No prior registration is needed.

We have all the LEGOs and space you need, just bring your imagination. Please note that this program is not suitable for very young children due to small pieces presenting a choking hazard. Registration is not required.

Join us for a D&D adventure in a fantasy world! Open to beginners and experienced players alike. Come with a character sheet (5th edition, level 3) or use one that we provide.  

Learn the ins and outs of crochet in this workshop hosted by the Boys & Girls Club! Perfect for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. 

We'll provide a selection of toddler-friendly toys, allowing you to have a fun morning out and to make new friends in your community.

Bring your project and come join other fiber crafters in your community! Crochet, sew, embroider, knit, cross stitch, spin, mend, and more at this informal drop-in fiber arts group.

Learn how to finger knit with library staff. We will then use our newly knitted rope to make either a snake or a butterfly.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! We’ll be taking the time to create a dedicated mindfulness practice – but what does that look like?

APL's Playgroup is a drop-in playtime for children aged 5 and under. We'll provide a safe and enjoyable play space with plenty of toys. It's a great opportunity to make new friends while having fun.

Every month, the Let’s Make Comics group tackles a different part of the comic making process including (but not limited to) character design, worldbuilding, and production.

Join us for a free screening of the movie, "Zootopia 2." No registration is required. Parents/caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during the movie. Rated PG, running time: 1 hour 41 minutes. 

Meet Renée Brezovsky and her therapy dog, Meadow. Meadow is a blue merle Australian Shepherd who is excited to meet you. Sign up for your child's 15-minute appointment to read to Meadow. Call the library to register at 207-333-6640, x3.

The Auburn Public Library Bookstore is now open on Saturday mornings. from 9:00-12:30. Choose from hundreds of gently used books, with most prices under $4. We have books for children, teens, and adults.
