APL's Playgroup is a drop-in playtime for children aged 5 and under. We'll provide a safe and enjoyable play space with plenty of toys. It's a great opportunity to make new friends while having fun.

Let's hang out and read together. Bring your own book or borrow one of ours, and we will all enjoy some quiet reading time. Afterwards we can share what we have read, or not, the choice is up to you.

We'll provide a selection of toddler-friendly toys, allowing you to have a fun morning out and to make new friends in your community.

Drop into the children's department to play board games with your friends and family. We'll provide a small selection of games, but feel free to bring your own. No registration is required.

Tiny Tunes is a fun music and movement program for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Siblings are welcome. No registration is required.

We’re excited to share that the children's department, with a bit of help from our awesome APL Technology Director, Brian, has created some cool 3D-printed white-canvas Pokémon minis.

Crafty Kids is a weekly crafting program led by local volunteer Mary Ann Cormier. This week, we'll create a peek-a-boo groundhog puppet.

Story Time is a fun session of storytelling, singing, and crafting. This activity is best suited for children aged between 3 to 5 years and siblings are more than welcome to participate. No prior registration is needed.

In honor of Black History Month we will read two books: Saving the Day Garrett Morgan's Life-changing invention of the traffic signal  and Whoosh!

As the days grow shorter and the air gets cooler, it is the perfect time to embrace the warmth and comfort of hygge right here at the library!

Stop by APL for an enjoyable and engaging lap-sit program for babies, toddlers, and caregivers. Siblings are also welcome to participate.

We have all the LEGOs and space you need, just bring your imagination. Please note that this program is not suitable for very young children due to small pieces presenting a choking hazard. Registration is not required.

Let's host a Gnome Party this winter! Kids and families are welcome to join Brandon Dyer, the Children's Librarian, for a gnome-making workshop. Everyone will get the chance to decorate their own gnome while supplies last.

Meet Renée Brezovsky and her therapy dog, Meadow. Meadow is a blue merle Australian Shepherd who is excited to meet you. Sign up for your child's 15-minute appointment to read to Meadow. Call the library to register at 207-333-6640, x3.
