Percy “Perseus” Jackson, who is 12 years old, is interested in mythology and magic and knows everything about the gods is accompanied by a fury who attacks, pretending to be a teacher. When he asks the other students about Mrs. Dodds, no one knows who she is, which makes Percy think something strange is going on. Even his best friend Grover hides the reality of Mrs. Dodds, hoping to protect Percy. Percy then finds out he himself is involved, identifying as a half-blood in danger of being too powerful. He has made enemies beyond his imagination, can he protect the world from the danger of creating World War III?
I wasn’t a huge fan of it and often had questions regarding how the mythical world of Greek gods worked, having it even more confusing. It does have a big fandom and perhaps the other books are better, but I myself just didn’t care for it. I recommend it to anyone who likes Greek mythology and magic.
