Staff Review: Cinderella is Dead

Cinderella is Dead

By Kalynn Bayron

200 years after the death of Cinderella, all teenage girls are required to attend the Annual Ball, providing the men of the kingdom a venue to select their wives.  For sixteen-year-old Sophia, she would rather marry her best friend Erin, than any man at the ball.  After fleeing the ball Sophia has a chance encounter with Constance, the last descendent of Cinderella.  Together they set about to take down the king and end the patriarchy.

A completely original retelling of the classic fairy tale, with awesome heroines, romance, adventure, and humor.  Winner of several awards, including the 2022 YALSA Amazing Books for Young Adults Selection.
